LINE-X SPRAYING PROCEDURES
THE PROCESS SHOULD TAKE ABOUT 2 TO 2 ½ HOURS,

DRY TO THE TOUCH IN 3-5 SECONDS, AND TOTALLY CURED IN 24 HOURS,
 WEATHER DOES NOT EFFECT THE TOTAL CURE TIME

Checking lines

#1 CHECK TRUCK IN WITH THE CUSTOMER MAKING SURE WE UNDERSTAND ANY SPECIAL NEEDS OR REQUESTS.
#2 PULL THE VEHICLE INTO THE PREP AREA AND BEGIN THE PREP PROCESS.
#3 BEGIN BY ESTABLISHING TAPE LINES AND WRAPPING THE TRUCK SIDES WITH PLASTIC AND TAPE.

Making sure the body is safe from overspray

#4 REMOVE ANY HARDWARE SUCH AS BOLTS, SCREWS, TIEDOWNS, OR ANY THING ELSE IN THE BED NOT TO BE COATED.
#5 BEGIN THE SANDING PROCESS, HAND SANDING THE TAPE LINES AND USING 40 GRIT SANDPAPER OVER THE ENTIRE AREAS TO BE COATED.
#6 INSPECT AND DOUBLE CHECK TRUCK FOR SUFFICIENT SANDING AND PLASTIC/TAPE ADHESION.
#7 MAKE SURE TRUCK BED IS FREE FROM DUST AND ANY FLUIDS THAT MAY INTERFERE WITH PROPER ADHESION.

#8 ENSURE THAT TRUCK BED IS TOTALLY ENCAPSULATED AND NO OVERSPRAY WILL REACH THE SIDES OF THE TRUCK, MUFFLER, AND MUDFLAPS IF APPLICABLE.
#9 BEGIN THE SPRAYING PROCESS BY FIRST TAKING TEST SHOTS AWAY FROM VEHICLE AND ENSURING THAT CHEMICAL IS HOT AND MOVING CORRECTLY THROUGH THE LINES AND SPRAY GUN.
#10 SPRAY THE SIDES OF THE TAILGATE ALONG THE TAPE LINES TO ENSURE PROPER THICKNESS.

#11 SPRAY THE MIDDLE AND BOTTOM OF THE TAILGATE, MAKING MULTIPLE PASSES TO ENSURE PROPER THICKNESS, ABOUT 3/16 OF AN INCH.
#12 BEGIN SPRAYING THE END OF THE TRUCK BED, STARTING WITH THE POSTS AT THE TAPE LINES ENSURING PROPER THICKNESS AGAIN BUILD UP THICKNESS WITH MULTIPLE COATS.
#13 SPRAY LINE-X UNDER THE RAILS TO ENSURE PROPER COVERAGE.

#14 MOVE TO THE SIDE OF THE VEHICLE AND SPRAY THE SIDEWALLS, AGAIN BUILDING UP MULTIPLE COATS TO ENSURE THICKNESS OF ABOUT AN 1/8 INCH, AT THIS POINT ADD EXTRA PASSES ON WHEELWELLS TO ENSURE THICKNESS OF ABOUT 3/16 OF AN INCH.
#15 APPLY COATING TO FLOOR OPPOSITE OF WHERE THE SPRAYPERSON IS STANDING AND BUILD UP THICKNESS OF ABOUT AN 1/8 INCH.
#16 REPEAT STEPS 9 AND 10 ON OPPOSITE SIDE OF TRUCK.

#17 MOVE TO THE END OF THE BED AND SPRAY FRONT HEADWALL MAKING MULTIPLE PASSES ENSURING THICKNESS OF ABOUT 3/16 OF AN INCH.
#18 CONTINUE TO LAY PASSES ON THE FLOOR SO THICKNESS IS BUILT UP FROM 3/16 TO A ¼ OF AN INCH, ENDING AT THE REAR OF THE TRUCK. ENCAPSULATING THE VERTICAL SURFACE AT THE END OF THE TRUCK BED.
#19 BEGIN THE TEXTURE PHASE AND WORK AROUND THE VEHICLE TEXTURING THE VEHICLE ENSURING THE VEHICLE HAS THE ANTI SKID QUALITIES AND FINISHED LOOK OF LINE-X.
#20 TEXTURE THE TAILGATE.

#21 PERFORM THE FINAL INSPECTION NOTING THAT LINE-X IS UNIFORMLY APPLIED ON THE TOTAL AREA AND ENSURING THAT TEXTURE HAS BEEN APPLIED TO ALL AREAS.
#22 REMOVE THE PLASTIC PROTECTING THE BUMPER, FOLD UP PLASTIC ON BOTH SIDE RAILS, AND RAISE THE MOVEABLE DRAPE BETWEEN THE CAB AND BED.
#23 REMOVE THE TRUCK FROM THE SPRAY BOOTH.

#24 REMOVE THE WIRE TRIM TAPE APPLIED TO THE VEHICLE BEFORE THE SPRAY PROCESS TOOK PLACE.
#25 PERFORM THE FINAL DETAILING STEPS NECESSARY.
#26 REINSTALL ANY HARDWARE, SUCH AS SCREWS, BOLTS, TIEDOWNS, ETC. WHICH WERE REMOVED BEFORE THE TRUCK WAS SPRAYED.
#27 INSTALL THE LINE-X WARRANTY TAG IN THE BED AND PLACE A LINE-X SPRAY ON BEDLINER OVAL STICKER ON THE BACK GLASS.

#28 TAKE THE VEHICLE AROUND TO THE FRONT OF THE BUILDING AND INVITE THE CUSTOMER TO LOOK AT HIS/HER “NEW” TRUCK.
#29 SHAKE THE CUSTOMER’S HAND, GIVE A HUG IF REQUESTED, AND IF THE CUSTOMER WANTS TO DANCE A JIG FEEL FREE TO JOIN IN THE FESTIVITIES, DUE TO THE OVERWHELMING ELATION ONE MAY HAVE ABOUT HAVING THE BEST SPRAY ON BEDLINER IN THE WORLD WITH LINE-X.
